When the Post Office needed to close unprofitable branches, they still needed a way to provide Post Office Services in rural areas.
They commissioned Geller to design and build a transportable terminal that was capable of providing full Post Office Counter services in temporary locations such as libraries, pubs, village halls etc. The terminal has to be rugged, lightweight and easy to set up.
A member of Geller staff went to the FEC factory to work with their engineers. A suitable terminal was designed, built and 600 units delivered to the Post Office in under six months.
