Odeon Cinemas                          

 

A key feature of Odeon’s system has been their reliance since Day 1 on their Geller SuperStock back office system which has worked seamlessly with whichever Geller terminals they were using. Therefore, upgrades at the point of sale had no downside in the back offices of their 80+ cinemas or at Odeon head office.

Odeon worked with Geller’s development team to include many Odeon-specific requirements within the software so that over a period of time it has become Odeon’s management tool.

A unique feature of Odeon’s success with Geller products has been the close working relationship and cross training that takes place between Odeon’s IT personnel and Geller’s installation/support team.  (During installations, you can sometimes see Geller staff serving popcorn and confectionery and Odeon IT personnel giving till training – although, of course, it is more usual for it to happen the other way round!)
