Dallas Key Lock EPOS Systems

Dallas keys provide high security at low cost by making it compulsory for servers to identify themselves each time they use the terminal. The terminal cannot be operated unless a key is used. Different levels of access can be programmed to individual keys.

The keys can be magnetic or non-magnetic. Non-magnetic keys are used when the preferred method of operation is that staff are required to sign on at the beginning of a sale by touching the key to the lock and are signed off automatically when a method of payment is entered.

Magnetic keys are preferred when staff are required to sign on by placing the key on the magnetic lock where is will stay until the server removes the key from the lock by walking away. These keys are usually attached to a retractable belt lanyard so that the act of the server walking away automatically signs him off.
