Flat Keyboard EPOS Systems

Spill-resistant, flat membrane keyboards are generally required in hospitality locations. The advantage of a flat keyboard is that the buttons are created on a paper overlay which is easily changed as menus and sales items are altered. The paper overlay is usually created using the utility software that is provided with the cash register. The paper overlay is slid under a clear plastic protective cover which prevents liquid ingress.

Increasingly flat keyboard are being used in retailing operations where a large number of buttons is required on the keyboard.  For example, in stand-alone scanning situations, a flat keyboard is often used so that the querty layout can be included for easy entry of product names.
