Printers: Bluetooth Printer Adaptor

NO MORE CABLES
Bluetooth Wireless Printing is here!

How it works:
A Bluetooth serial adaptor can be plugged into any Geller ECR or PC-based touch screen and into every printer with which you want to communicate. The Bluetooth adaptors are powered by the till and by the printer, so there is no need for external power supplies.

A pair of Bluetooth serial adaptors is needed for each printer to which you need to connect. In the same way as if cable were being used, it is necessary to insert one Bluetooth adaptor into the printer and the other into the appropriate serial port of the terminal.

We should be advised prior to delivery that wireless printing is required, to enable us to pre-configure the terminals and printers to power the Bluetooth adaptors.

Bluetooth advantages:

  • Setting up the system is very quick and easy. Printers can be sited anywhere in kitchen or bar where there is a power point.

  • No damage is done to décor

  • Whenever it becomes necessary to move a printer, just pick it up and re-site it anywhere there is a power point.

The range:

In the unobstructed open air, the range is around 100 yards. In buildings containing walls, metal girders etc, the range is reduced but should still be enough to cover the largest restaurants.

The cost:

Your bonus advantage is that using these devices is much cheaper than cabling.
